Bruce Conner: It’s All True, MoMA

“Bruce Conner, It’s All True” was Conner’s first comprehensive retrospective in New York. An artist that defied straightforward categorization, the title came from a letter written by the artist about his many contradictory personas. Using this list of personas, paired with a still from his seminal work “CROSSROADS,” the title wall and advertising campaign directly convey Conner’s ethos to a wide New York audience less familiar with the Californian artist’s practice.
