02 – THE NEW DEPARTURES
Identity
Departures, the 40 year old luxury travel and lifestyle publication owned by American Express, was looking to modernize and embrace a fully digital-first model. Completed at Giant Spoon, the re-brand comprised of a new nameplate and brandsystem including a new color palette, typography, and art direction. The nameplate, the foundation of the re-brand utilizes expressive, calligraphic forms to celebrate the personal touch and journeys to be explored.
